As someone who spent my younger years on the shores of Lake Superior, I have an affinity for all things water.  The seagull song is imprinted in my being.  I love the way it's soft joyous call echoes into the sky. 
I've never collected large circles of friends, but the ones I do find connection with, I just love listening to their stories.  Sometimes it accompanies a coffee, sharing a lovely meal, or glass of wine.  Just to 'be' with another person who accepts the person you are, and likes you anyway - I think that's one of life's greatest treasures.
