This couple came about, almost as a whisper at first.  "We are watching"... 
Ravens, considered harbingers of here & there, this world and the next.  Having the ability to float between realms like the  fluttering of a gauzy linen curtain on a breezy day.  In not-so-distant history, buildings were built  to hold various animals carved in their highest towers to overlook the entry.  Gargoyles would keep watch & protect the ones inhabiting their stone walls.  Guardians. Messengers with prophetic wisdom.  Keepers of secrets.
Maybe it's fairy-tale, maybe there is some truth, but in any case, I like to believe we have unseen protection that can be called upon when we need guidance or support.
